Hey elders! - Mon 1/15/2018, 4:14 PM

I'm not quite sure what this is a picture of (there is no preview on the computer I'm using) so ... I hope you like it!

Dear friends and family,
This was kind of a week of miracles. A ton of them, but I'm just going to share a few of them with you guys. We were having a rough time just trying to find new investigators and we were about to head back to our house and we hadn't had a single plan that was working out. My companion and I decided to try walking down one more street with a prayer in our heart, and some guys called out to us and said, "Oh look, the elders." That was cool. We talked to him for a little bit, shared a quick message about the importance of service, and then he asked us to come by and we could talk with him. It was awesome!
Then, the next day, we were talking to some guy and he asked us what two americans are doing here in Mexico, so I told that we were missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and he said "I have never heard of you guys." So I said, "Most people know us as the Mormon Church" And he replied, "The Mormons! I just read something about you guys." So we offered to come by and teach him more about what we believe, and he accepted.
There is a ton of cool stuff that happens. God loves each and everyone of us so much, and He will place you on the right path if you will let Him. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I know that it was restored through Joseph Smith. I testify of that, in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.
I love you guys,
Love,
Elder DuBose

The elders in Terraza sang as they walked... Mon 1/8, 4:20 PM

and walked and walked.
Dear friends and family,
We did a lot of walking this week. Just looking for people that we could serve, and that we could talk to.
It went well, but after all of the walking, we decided to try something different. We made a poster with questions like "How can I know if God has a plan for me?" "Why am I here on the earth?" and "Will I be wiht my beloved ones after this life?" It worked pretty well, but I didn't think to take a picture of it before I came to right, and I'll try to get one sent to you guys next week.
It worked really well. There isn't a whole lot more that calls people's attention than two really white guys holding a sign in the middle of a busy mexican city. haha.
But, I just want to bear my testimony to all of you that I know that God does have a plan for us, and that plan invlolves us coming here, recieving a body, failing, and learning to become better through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. That is the grand plan of God. He loves and knows each of us personally, and I can't express how awesome it is to know that. I also know that death is not the end. It is the beginning of our eternal life, and if we learn to really on God, we will obtain all that He hath.
I love you guys,
Love,
Elder DuBose
p.s. There aren't any new pictures. Sorry.

Feliz año nuevo! - Tue 1/2, 1:23 PM

Dear friends and family,
Let me just say that yesterday was a blast! Everything was closed, and the streets were empty. It was like in those western movies right before there is some kind of big old gun fight. And... it was a pretty quiet day.
This last year was awesome, and I can only imagine it getting better.
I know that this is the Church of Jesus Christ on the earth, and I am so grateful to be a missionary. The truths of the Gospel will change your lives if you will let them.
I love you all so much!
Love,
Elder DuBose

Feliz Navidad y Prospero Año! - Wed 12/27/2017, 12:33 PM

Dear Friends and family,
So... this Monday everything was shut down for one of the coolest days to ever be a missionary! Christmas! And let me just say that Christmas in the mission is awesome! There has never been a day that I have felt so happy to be a missionary. And so grateful for all the blessings that the Savior has brought to each and everyone of us.
It is true, and the Church is true!
I love you all, and hope you continue to remember Him and His gift throughout the rest of the year!
Love,
Elder DuBose
