yes!!! - Mon 6/18/2018, 4:35 PM

Dear friends and family,
One of the families that we have been teaching this last week wasn't ready... the divorce proccess got a little set back so they couldn't get married.
But, we talked to the parents, and we prayed and got permision from the parents to baptize their two children. It really got the whole family super excited. It was kind of a miracle.
The Church is the Church of God. The Book of Mormon is true. Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, and He guides the Church through a living prophet today!
How grateful I am to be able to share that.
God Loves YOU!
Love,
Elder DuBose

A really good week! - Mon 6/11/2018, 4:11 PM

Dear friends and family,
This week has been really awesome! Elder Perez has a really good testimony and is super excited to get out and just start teaching some people.
We had the chance to give some blessings to some investigators and that was something that is really exciting. So, we gave all of them blessings and then one of their little kids came up to us after and said, thank you brothers, you really help out our family.
That really touched my heart. It was really nice.
The Church is true!
Love,
Elder DuBose
p.s. mega tortas. Good stuff.

A little bit of a shock... - Wed 6/6/2018, 4:14 PM

Dear friends and family,
This last Sunday, Elder Hernandez and I were sleeping when we got a call from the zone leaders and they told us that Elder Hernandez was getting transfered.
That was nerve wracking. Then, he passed me the phone, and I heard my zone leader say, "And Elder DuBose... you have to be in the bus station a 7 tomorrow. You will be heading to Aguascalients to recieve your new trainee."
So I spent the last two days in Aguascalientes and I have a new, new companion. Elder Perez from Guatemala. It should be an awesome transfer cycle.
I love you guys and I know that the Church is true!
Love,
Elder DuBose
p.s. some last pics with elder Hernandez

p.s.s..  Elder Boyer (Who should be in his house now)

and it was my companions birthday so we bought him some cake.

It has gotten really hot. - Mon 5/28/2018, 1:57 PM

Dear friends and family,
It stoped raining.... and there are no clouds in the sky, so summer must be here again. It has gotten really hot, and the good thing is that it makes it easier to find people.
Not a lot of people will tell you no when you look like you are dying of heat. Haha.
But, it has been a really good week. One of the miracles that we saw this week was that an investigator that we have been teaching (B) has been really having some struggles coming to church. He is part of a band and Saturday night is when they go to perform. He loves the Gospel, but his band makes it kind of hard to get up for our 8 oclock church session.
But, we talked to him on the phone a few times this week and had a really powerful lesson about repentance and the word of wisdom, and he left his band early so that he could get up on time to come to church. it was really awesome!
It reminds me of a quote by president Boyd K. Packer that says, True doctrine, understood, changes attitudes and behavior. The study of the doctrines of the gospel will improve behavior quicker than study of behavior will improve behavior.
And it is true. If you want to change, The Lord will help you with that, but you need to do your part. Study out the doctrine, and ask if it is true. If you do that, you will change. And you will change quicker and permantly. That is the power of the doctrine of Christ.
I love you guys!
Love,
Elder DuBose
p.s. We took some pretty good pictures right before we got to the compueters. Haha.
p.p.s. We made quesadillas and I put some hot sauce on mine. Blew my companion´s mind. Haha. The pictures are a little blurry, but that is alright. I think it captures the excitment that he felt. Haha

Uhh...What do I say? - Mon 5/21/2018, 4:37 PM

Dear friends and family,
This last week has really flown by and I don't really remember a whole lot that happened, so I guess we´ll just kind of remember, and see.
We met a really cool less active member this last week. He is about twenty years old, and is really cool. We found him on Wednesday, talked to him the next day, invited him to church on Sunday, picked him up for church on Sunday (He was waiting outside his house), and he came to help us do some visits after church as well. It was kind of awesome.
It knid of just is awesome that God will place people in our path to help us out and who are just waiting for someone to invite them to come unto Christ. It could be a long time, or it could be something reall simple, but the reason is always the same: God loves us and wants us to make it back to Him.
God loves you all! I know that is true!!
Love,
Elder DuBose
p.s. I forgot to take pictures this week.... Sorry.
