Eso es todo chicos! (That's all guys!) - Mon 11/12/2018, 3:14 PM

Some of the members of the Rojas family and me.
Dear friends and family,
This is going to be my last group e-mail for my mission. Let me just say that it has been a blast. I'm going to be heading home next Monday in the morning, and it has been a huge blessing to just be here serving this people. I can honestly say that I have grown to love them.
I feel like I have changed a lot in these last two years, and I feel pretty good about the person that I am becoming in this moment.
I know that God lives, and that he loves each and everyone of us. When we submit ourselves to His plan, we become happier. Life begins to make sense, and, even if things don't immediately start to get better, things become easier to bear. I have come to know my Savior personally. I love Him, and am so grateful for all that He has done and does for me and every person that I have met and had the chance to teach. He died for us, and He lived again for us. He lives.
And He continues to speak to us, if we have ears to hear and eyes to see.
They will work miracles through us still.
I know that this is the Church of Jesus Christ, and He is at the helm.
I bear my testimony of these things, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
My homecoming talk will be:
November 25, 2018 at 11:00 am
42 West 200 South, Hyde Park, Utah 84318
I hope to see you guys there!
Love,
Elder Kline DuBose

A day of the Dead in Mexico! - Mon 11/5/2018, 4:25 PM

Lunch at a place called the Oaxakita
Dear friends and family,
This week was the week of Halloween, the Day of the Dead, and .... another Day of the Dead. It was really cool. They take the whole day of the dead thing really seriously here in Aguascalientes. So, they had some parades and some other fun stuff.
We also had some really cool experiences with the members here in the ward. The last like five days, we have had at least one or two members come to teach with us. I learned that there is no better way to gain the confidence of the members than to invite them to come and see that you are doing the best that you can.
I know that the church is true.
I know it, and I love the Lord and His church.
Love,
Elder DuBose

A lot of little miracles! - Mon 10/29/2018, 4:50 PM

Dear friends and family,
We had an excellent week this week.
We got the awesome experience to take four of our investigators to Sacrament Meeting this week. That was something that was super fun, and just kind of worked out really well. One of the investigators even gave one of the members a ride in her car. It was a lot of little miracles that just kind of added up and kept adding up.
I love the Church and I know that it is the church of God here on earth.
I love you all!
Love,
Elder DuBose

Some companionship exchanges - 10/22/2018, 4:03 PM

Elder Alvarez and me
Dear friends and family,
This past week, Elder Cortez and I had the opurtunidad to go and do some companionship exchanges with some of the elders in our zone.
I got to go and be with one of my old companions from the mission named Elder Alvarez. That was super fun to get to see and be with him after such a long time, but it was even more fun to see the changes that happen in the people as they begin to apply the Gospel of Jesus Christ in their lives just a little more.
I know that the church is true, and that the fullness of the Gospel was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. God and Jesus love us so much!
Love,
Elder DuBose
p.s.  some cool little grafiti stuff going on,

and Elder Cortez and I also got lost for like two hours this week trying to find a person that we had found before.

I love you guys!

Little miracles - Mon 10/15/18, 4:11 PM

We went to a famous park today.
Dear friends and family,
This last week was awesome!!
So, we had a really good experience this last Sunday. We had our fast and testimony meeting, and we got done and were walking out, kind of just thinking about how we haven't been able to find anyone that will come to church when a sister called us over, and said, "Elders, I've got a tip for you guys. That sister that was sitting in front of you has never been baptized, and I think it is just because nobody has ever thought to baptize her."
It was just one of the little miracles that we happened to see this week.
God loves us, and He helps us out in all that he can.
I love you all!
Love,
Elder DuBose
p.s.Some more pictures from the park,

and this is the Catholic Church that has the most marriages in all of Mexico. Cool stuff, huh?

And we're getting close to the day of the dead.

General Conference! - Mon 10/8/2018, 6:31 PM

Some good old tacos. I love tacos.
Dear friends and family,
That was an incredible General Conference that we had this last weekend. It is an incredible blessing to be able to hear the voices of the Lord's servants and know that they are saying what God would have us hear.
I know that we have prophets here on earth, and that they speak the word's of God. How lucky are we to live in a time when this is possible and so accessible to every person on the earth.
I love you all!
Love,
Elder Kline DuBose

Some pretty fun companionship exchanges! - Mon 10/1/2018, 6:10 PM

A green lantern statue.
Dear friends and family,
This week went pretty good. We got to have some companionship exchanges this last week with the assistants to the president and that was really fun. We had all gotten up, and we were all studying when the lights just went all out (They forgot to pay the electricity). It was kind of nuts, but it reminded me of how when we start to focus on what is the most important stuff in our lives, there is almost always some type of opposition. Just because that happens doesn't mean that you are doing the wrong thing, but that you are doing the right thing. The best things in life aren't free, they cost us a little bit, but if we keep going, everything gets better, and we see better the hand of the Lord in our lives.
I know that the church is true, and that God loves each and everyone of us!
Love,
Elder DuBose

The Gospel!! - Mon 9/24/2018, Today, 4:25 PM

A pretty little bush on the street where we live.
Dear friends and family,
Not a whole ton happened this week, but it was pretty fun what did.
We had our zone conference this last week, and that was really cool. I learned a lot of stuff about how to be a better missionary. But something that really stood out to me is how Jesus Christ really is the center of all things. I know that He loves us and that He came to give us a helping hand. He knows how we feel better than any other person that has or ever will come to the earth.
I know that He lives, and that He loves us. Our Heavenly Father sent Him here for us, to save us from our sin. As we live the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ begins to flow through our lives and to cleanse us from our sin.
The Church is true, and the Gospel has been restored.
Love,
Elder DuBose

By small and simple things... - Mon 9/17/2018, 4:07 PM

Dear friends and family,
We had a zone conference this last week, and getting there we had a really cool experience.
We were trying to find a taxi to take us to the stake center, and we had some really bad luck. We were there for like half an hour and every taxi that stopped by said, "It´s just that I dont go that far away. Sorry"
Then, someone passed by in their car, and told us that she was going the same way that we were. It was a miracle! We got in and started to talk about who we were and how everything was going for her and her family. We got a really good opportunity to share a message with her and she gave us her direction. She wasn't home this last week because of the Mexican Independence Day, but we are planning to go look for her later this week.
It is by small and simple means that great things are brought to pass. This is the way that God has worked in my life, and I know that it is the way that He works in the lives of all of His children to bring to pass their salvation.
I love you guys!
Love,
Elder DuBose
p.s. some cool fotos of Aguascalientes.
And the Mexican Flag (Viva México!)

The eagle statue marks the center of the Mexican Republic, which was pretty cool to learn about.

And a missionary had his birthday yesterday, so we bought him a cake and because he lives in a village, we gave it to him last night and went with him just to hangout today.

What a busy week! - Mon 9/10/2018, 2:33 PM

My companion and me
Dear family,
The other elders in our ward had their contract expire for their house, so they got to move in with us. It is a little crazy to have four elders in the same house, and not just have it be for a night or two, but it is pretty fun.
We had a really jam packed week this last week. We found a family with a less active dad who hasn't been to church for like 10 years, and so his kids and his wife aren't members. We finally had the chance to teach them as a family, and it was an amazing lesson that we had.
We brought one of the members with us and ... we all started crying at the end of the lesson. It really hit the dad hard. He is a big tought looking bald guy, so it kind of shook me up to see him start to cry, but it just shows that when the Spirit talks to us, we will recognize it, if we want to. He really wanted to. He started to explain to us how he has wanted something like this to happen for years, but he didn't want to force his wife to come to church with him. He wanted her to find out for herself. He still has a pretty strong testimony, but he had lost his hope. He found that again, and told us that he was going to do what he could to help his family come to church and to pray about what we had said.
God loves all of His children, and will send them the things that they need in the time that they need.
I know that is true!
Love,
Elder DuBose

It's all good. - Mon 9/3/2018, 2:17 PM

Elder Zarate and me.
Dear friends and family,
We had our transfers this last Tuesday, and it was quite the adventure. I'm in a ward called Jesus Maria and my companion is named Elder Zarate. He is from the south of Mexico, a state called Chiapas and he loves to sing and play music. He also really likes to work. He is a really good guy.
I'm in a ward where there are like four missionaries, so that is really different from where I was at before.
But, things are going well.
I know that the Church is true, and that it blesses families. It is the orginisation of God here on the earth to help us to progress.
God loves us!
Love,
Elder DuBose
p.s. I forgot to bring my adapter for the computer, so I don't have any pictures this week.Sorry.

p.p.s.  And here are some pictures...  We had to change the place that we were writing, so my SD card was able to load the pictures this time.
