Dear friends and family,
This week here in San Luis has been kind of crazy. It has been super hot in the mornings and then the temperature drops and it just starts to rain.
But, we saw a lot of miracles here.
One of them was the baptism of an investigator that we have named Ivan. That was something really cool. We talked to him about two weeks ago, and placed a baptismal date for the fifth of May and .... his schedule got really complitcated and we couldnt see him to finish up the lessons. It was nerve wracking. Then, he called us up this last Sunday and told us that he had freed up a ton of time in his schedule at work to finish learning all of the comandments and to have his baptismal interview. We met with him, and he had read all that he could on the subjects and explained to us everything that he had learned. It was a huge answer to his prayers and to the prayers of his family.
I had the chance to talk to his mom after, and she was super happy. She and her kids had been baptized awhile ago and she had just been praying super hard to have her son feel the need to join the church. It was cool to have her see that prayer answered.
I know that the church is true!
Remember, God made you special, and He love you very much!
Love,
Elder DuBose
p.s. some pictures from the week. (A kid got a hold of my camera and started taking some selfies)
and the pictures of Ivan
and a picture I got to draw for some members.
I got a ton of birthday cards and my birthday package. it was super awesome!
and we got caught in the rain without anything. Just came out of the blue.... We had to go home and change. It was kind of crazy.
